Clay Element Ceramic Studio
Celebrate Life As You
Elmira
Since childhood, my hands were always drawn to creating beauty out of anything I touched, from simple wrappers to my homework. Even as I pursued a career in telecommunications, I yearned to work with my hands. After rediscovering clay last spring, I realized how deeply it resonates with me. Now, I’m opening my studio to help others reconnect with their inner creativity, just as I have, and embrace what their hearts have always known.

I’ve been working with clay for about six years and I fell in love with it the minute I sat at the wheel. I’m especially drawn to throwing big and making functional pieces that feel good to hold and use every day. Glazing is one of my favorite parts of the process and I’m always experimenting with new combos and layering techniques to see what kind of magic comes out of the kiln. I really enjoy being in the studio, talking about clay, and helping people build confidence in their own creative process.

For over 7 years, ceramic has been my main creative language. I’m passionate about texture, color, and experimentation. I love vibrant glazes, trying new techniques, and the little moment of magic that happens every time you open the kiln after a firing. I’m always exploring and learning, and I’d love to share my joy and love for ceramics with you. Let’s create something beautiful together.

I moved to Issaquah with my family 11 years ago and quickly fell in love with the natural beauty and sense of community in the area. During the COVID years, I had the opportunity to build a pottery studio at my home, and reconnect with a creative practice I first discovered in high school but set aside in my twenties.
What began as a return to an old passion soon became a daily practice and a source of joy, creativity, and connection. Through pottery, I found both a creative outlet and a reminder that it’s never too late to learn something new or return to something you love.
As a teacher, I enjoy helping students build confidence with clay, explore their creativity, and develop the technical skills needed to bring their ideas to life. Whether you're touching clay for the first time or returning to it after many years, I strive to create a welcoming, encouraging environment where everyone can learn, experiment, and have fun.
I'm so excited!!!
